History of the department

Biotechnology department was created at the initiative of the chancellor of Pavlodar State University named after S.Toraigyrov – Doctor of Economics, professor Aryn Y.М. in July 2009 and was a part of Agrotechnological faculty.

The department conducts training in the specialties - 5B070100 «Biotechnology», 5B072700 «Food technology», and postgraduate study in the specialty 6М072700 «Food technology» and 6М070100 «Biotechnology».

Kuralay Smetkanovna Isayeva, Candidate of Engineering Sciences, Associate Professor of PSU.

Kuralay Isayeva graduated from Semipalatinsk Technological Institute of Meat and Dairy Industry (1994). Speciality: Technology of Meat and Meat Products (Production Engineer). In 2005, she defended her Candidate's thesis in 05.18.04 Technology of Meat, Dairy and Fish Products and Refrigerating Industry. The title of the thesis: Development of Technology for Meat Paste Production Using Wheat Germs. Lecturer at the Department of Technology of Meat, Dairy and Food Products at SSU named after Shakarim (2005-2007). Associate Professor at the Department of Applied Biotechnology at InEU (2007-2009). Associate Professor at the Department of Biotechnology at PSU named after S.Toraighyrov (since September 2009). The results of the research work are reflected in more than 20 scientific publications. Field of research: technology of new food products out of meat raw materials.
